Hi all
I have just received a death certificate for Charles James MORRIS.
Death date: 23 Jan 1865,  Place of death: Crown Street Surry Hills, aged 36, born London, in NSW about 8 years, Father James MORRIS occupation unknown, Mother Ann no surname stated.
Place of marriage: London 8 Sep 1856, Spouse Charlotte Elizabeth WILSON, Children to marriage 1 girl living.
Burial: Camperdown Cemetery
I am trying find any information on his wife and child.

According to FamilySearch, England Marriages, 1538–1973, the marriage took place 8 September 1856 at St James, Westminster.  His father listed as James MORRIS, hers George WILSON.

Looks like her baptism at St Clement Danes, Middlesex

1841 census shows a Charlotte WILSON, 10. scholar, born in county, at 45 Stanhope St, St Clement Danes.  The word 'Schools' is listed under the street address and there is one schoolmistress listed and 30 scholars - all girls ranging in age from 15 to 9.  One servant is also in this household.
(My comment: seems like a lot of students to be living with only one teacher!)

I can't see her in 1851.

There are quite a few mentions of his work on TROVE (which you have probably seen); he has apparently travelled in the country taking photos for The Illustrated London News.  Here's a link to one of the articles.

I have just found a baptism record for Charlotte Louisa MORRIS, born 19 April 1851, baptism 17 Jan 1864,  at Surry Hills Flinders Street St Michaels, father Charles James MORRIS Photographic Artist and wife charlotte Elizabeth. Abode 4 Norman Terrace Paddington.

Could explain Gladesville death.
