Thanks CupOfLife
It could be her. On the 1864 baptismal record her birth year is given as 1851 which means she would have been born before Charles and Charlotte were married. Im wondering if its possible that she was adopted by them.
Still cannot find anything for mother Charlotte Elizabeth MORRIS nee WILSON.
Thanks Leonie

Thanks every one for all your help. :D

I just found Charlotte Elizabeth MORRIS nee WILSON back in England in 1868 marrying Stephen FOSTER  10 June 1868 at St Giles Cripplegate. Would like to find a shipping record for her to see if she took Charlotte Louisa MORRIS back with her. ;)
 Cheers Leonie

I have searched and searched  the English census and found nothing for Charlotte Elizabeth FOSTER formerly MORRIS nee WILSON or Charlotte Louisa MORRIS.  ???
There is an shipping record in 1869 for a Charlotte FOSTER 36 and Charlotte MORRIS 18  arriving Melbourne 24 April 1869 on the KENT.
Also found  that there is a death for a Charlotte E FOSTER in Newcastle NSW 1870 so the marriage that cupoflife found for Charlotte Louise MORRIS to William BAKER in 1870 in Newcastle might be correct.
I am considering ordering a certificate and was wondering which one would be the best to get??
The 1870 death of Charlotte E FOSTER
The 1870 marriage of Charlotte Louise MORRIS
The 1880 death of Charlotte BAKER
Cheers Leonie

As found by C of L,
Death: 6465/1881 Charlotte L. BAKER; age 31 died Gladesville; Ryde

If the parents are not noted on the index, they will not be on the certificate.

If she died in an institution, the details given may be quite scant.

Compared with Australian certificates, an English marriage record may give little information, but at least it comes from the couple themselves. So the marriage cert may be a little helpful.

The informant on the Australian death certificate for Charlotte Elizabeth FOSTER ( assuming it is the woman you are seeking)  may have been her daughter, Charlotte Louisa. It is possible she did not know all details of her mother's background e.g. her mother's parents' names, but she has Jane as the mother correctly.

FOSTER  Charlotte E
5011/1870
Parents William & Jane
At NEWCASTLE

I would choose this certificate

Thanks Sue.
Yes if it is the right person. ::)
At times I suppose you have to take a chance and get a certificate to prove or disprove a line of research. i think that's where Im at with this family.

I agree with Sue re which  cert   :)  1870

From that doc THEN if a CofE ceremony, theres the Newcastle parish registers IMAGEs free online ... see Rchats NSW resources  ;D

And I am sure you would be ordering an official transcript and not the expensive  real deal cert  ;D

I think I must be beyond hope!  ::)

JM, for the life of me I cannot find the link to the Newcastle parish registers.  I can see the cathedral registers which apparently have burials only up to 1869 and cathedral marriages - no sign of Charlotte MORRIS's marriage to William BAKER there.  I can see that Uni of Newcastle has parish registers on film but I can't find them online.
