Was he likely to have been in the Services during WW2, in which case he would not be included  :-\

Hi Rosie99

yes thanks I did think that but have done all searches for them as individuals also looking for her with family or even nearby the MC addresses.    No sign of him on WW2 records either.    I have just added them to my ever growing list of "completely disappeared" people in my tree!!!!

There are a couple of mentions of them in the Bognor Regis Observer.

A Mr & Mrs W. K. Aslet win lots of prizes especially soft fruit n the Aldingbourne W.I Flower Show according to the Bognor Regis Observer of 27 July 1938. Letitia Aslet was also in the Aldingbourne Players and played a barmaid in a performance in Lavant in Dec 1937.

So Aldingbourne....

WW2 records are still with the MOD so it is quite possible you would not find anything about his war service  online.

Ernest R Isted b 31 March 1907 is living at Barnham and Larksmead , Nyton Road, Aldingbourne.

Is that her brother?

Two further people 's records are closed, could that be them?

Hi Dillybert, Carol 8353 and emeltom

thanks again for your input.    Ernest R Isted is indeed her brother.   The Howards are her step father and mother.   I have just checked all the addresses given for Nyton Rd and cannot see them at all.    Conclusion must be that they have been closed.

The 2 closed records could be those of the children of William and Florence:   Edward 1921 and Alex 1924 (Letitias half brothers)
