Parents of Alma Freda Collier

Hi

I've traced all lines of my family tree quite far back apart from my grandma Alma Freda Collier 1921 to 2003.

She was born in Knaresborough or Harrogate, the same as myself. However, I can't find anything at all about her parents (my great grandparents)

Can anyone help?

The Cert will give you her Fathers name/occp and her Mothers christian name.

Alma's birth registration shows a mother's maiden name of Brown.

Purchase of her birth certificate - GRO - may be your best bet.  I can't readily see a marriage between Collier and Brown in the Knaresborough Registration District.

They appear in the 1911 Census in Harrogate with several children.
In 1901 they are living at 20 Myrtle Square, Harrogate
Thomas Matthew Collier 23 Ripon
Annie Colllier 21 Harrogate
Charles Collier 2 Harrogate
Annie Collier 0 Harrogate

Alma is in the 1939 Register with Annie.

Doh!!!  I only looked back to 1900 for the marriage 

YorkshireBMD say that the marriage was Knaresborough Register Office or Registrar Attended.
