Help with Shea family
« on: Sunday 25 March 18 15:00 BST (UK) »
I have a baptism for Timothy Shea 21st Jan 1877 Imogela Parish Cork with parents Daniel Shea & Mary Mulcahy.  Cannot locate a Civil Birth.
By 1901 Census Timothy is the only occupant of house 5 Ballynacole Dungourney Cork age 23.
I am presuming both his parents have died by 1901 as when Timothy married in Sept 1901 his father Daniel is deceased.  Cannot locate Death records for Daniel & wife Mary.

Cannot locate a Civil Cert for marriage of Daniel Shea & Mary Mulcahy.

In Ireland Valuation Office books 1847 I have a Maurice Shea in Ballynacole Dungourney Cork whom I suspect may be Daniels father.

Appreciate any help thank you

Probably comes under Middleton district.
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Yes, I see a John Shea baptised 10th April 1870 to Daniel Shea and Mary Mulcahy.

I tried looking for children baptised around the same time on civil records just in case none had been included.

Just in the middle of it when I had to do something at home  ::)

I need to go back. I think I found one who was registered about July  :) (having been baptised in April).

No others in  Imogela Parish Registers?

Yes there is John 1870 in Imogeela Parish from the same family. Seems odd that there are no others.
