Sadly no names on the death certificate.

His death certificate doesn't name his parents.

A few hints.

It appears his wife Elizabeth died in 1897. Can you find a marriage record?

Both are buried in same plot.

=====

1900 census has him widowed born July 1842.

Both 1900 census & DC state he was born July 1842. Could this be him?

If anyone has more specific identifying information about Mr. Peers, it would help greatly with the quest for information.  There are about 5 people with this same name (born in England or in Wales) and some of them were born in the same year mentioned.

Does anyone know his:
Middle name?
Exact city and country where he was born?
His occupation?
Did he ever have children?
What year he immigrated to the US?

Re. mother's maiden name Sherlock has this come from the 1845 GRO birth registration? What's the source of your Ann Sherlock?
