« on: Monday 26 March 18 20:51 BST (UK) »
Hi all, apologies in advance as i know this question has been asked many times before, but for the life of me i cant find it. ::) my great grandparents are buried in st peters dalbeth,i kmow the location of the grave as i found out through the R.C. records on S.P. If i remember i'd have to contact a dept of the catholic church to find out who else is buried in the plot. i'd be grateful if someone could reply with details of who to contact.
                           regards,john.

Hi John

There is this:

St. Peter's Dalbeth Roman Catholic Cemetery, unlike St. Kentigern's Cemetery, is still the responsibility of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.  For burial records after 1955 and for information on earlier lair registers, you should contact Sharon Scullion at Archdiocese of Glasgow, 196 Clyde Street, Glasgow G1 4JY Phone: 0141 226 5898.

That is great John. Many people have commented about how amazingly helpful Sharon has been to them in their enquiries  :)

Does anyone know of a map on line where I can find a lair in St Peters Cemetery. There is no headstone unfortunately. The lair number is 1708 in Section 13 W. Many thanks for any help.  I have tried phoning Sharon Scullion but no reply.

Hi John
I submitted a map to this site a couple of years ago which will show you the Sections. As for finding a particular liar most headstones are numbered on bottom of plinth so if you can find one around about the 1700s pace out from there, I use one pace = 1 lair.
Of course if you can visit while any staff are on site they are really helpful.

I can let you have a copy of the map that prints out at A4 if you can't find original post.
