x3 siblings appear to have married x3 siblings. I am trying to trace mothers for both sets of siblings
Andrew Heron
baptism 4 Mar 1720 St Cuthbert, Bellingham
father Thomas Heron of 'Clues' Bellingham
married in Kirkharle 14 May 1754 to
Mary Arthur
baptised 19 Aug 1723 Kirkharle
father William Arthur
Elizabeth Heron
baptised 9 Sep 1733 St Cuthbert Bellingham
father Thomas Heron of 'The Hole' Bellingham
married in Kirkharle 22 May 1768
Christopher Arthur
baptised 11 Mar 1732 Kirkharle
father William Arthur
William Heron
baptised 24 Jun 1731 Hebron or Bothal
married in Kirkharle 23 May 1762
Eleanor Arthur
baptised 26 Dec 1734 Kirkharle
father William Arthur
The Heron siblings are definitely siblings and born to Thomas Heron who lived at Clews, Bellingham and then 'The Hole' Bellingham and finally Hott Hill, Bellingham. He died in 1783 and his Will doesn't lend any clue as to who his wife was.
The Arthur siblings is more of a guess, based on they were all called Arthur, all baptised and all married in the same church in Kirkharle and all have a 'William Arthur' listed as their father.
I'm trying to find
For Thomas Heron - date of birth / baptism / name of wife / name of parents / any siblings
For William Arthur - dates of birth / death, confirmation that the 3 names children are all his and most importantly, who his wife was.
I have found a likely marriage I think for William Arthur on FreeReg to a Margaret Brown 21 May 1717 in Kirkharle, but can't link it to any of the children. This leads to the question could there be any connection with Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, if it is Margaret Brown.
The Kirkharle Bishops transcripts don't appear to be available online for dates that early
There were no wills relevant to any of these people I could find
What would then next step be / place to look or can anyone offer any help?
thanks
Christian
