. . . FindMyPast - so I took a month's subscription (offered at half price), . . .
Is this offer still available? Where can I find it?
I currently have a monthly sub to Ancestry @£5/month runs out next month. and would love to subscribe to FindMyPast at half price as I have a lot of ancestors in Shropshire, which is where FindMyPast is better than Ancestry.
Hi Mac
I had a look at your profile to see where in the world you are.
Although your local library service doesn't offer access to FindMyPast, if you can hop over the county border into Gloucestershire, their library service does.

Hi dawn,
Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately I am now reliant on public transport, my licence having expired a couple of weeks ago.
I know Shropshire and Worcester Archives have access to FindMyPast but I can't remember if it's available at all libraries in those counties or just at the Archives, I'm pretty certain Worcs. is restricted to the Hive. I'm due another visit there soon to follow up previous searches, more rellies turned up and I missed copying the odd PR I'd transcibed to USB.
My maternal ancestors were an inconsiderate lot they came from three counties, Salop, Worcs, Herefords.
Hence my decision to settled in Hereford after touring UK in motorhome for 6yrs. I can get to all three archives relatively easily by public transport.
Regards,
Malcolm.
