Must of been another son.

Just looking at the transcripts of the two dc's we have.

In 1970 when James Augustus REYNOLDS died.  The informant was his WIDOW, Mary Ellen HARDY, married circa 1924.

In 1983 when his son Maxwell Bryant REYNOLDS died.  The informant was his MOTHER, E M McMAHON.  Mother on DC is Edna May RIXON, same person.

Can we place Mary Ellen HARDY?!  Doesn't it seem UNLIKELY that they are 2 different ladies?!

What do they know about their parents? Have you spoken with them?

No names because they are alive, but where and when were they born.

The death certificate 1970, how does it account for children of James Augustus REYNOLDS.  Does it accurately name the seven children.....correct ages, birth order?

Edna May RIXON/McMAHON was definitely the mother of Maxwell Bryant REYNOLDS. Only two surviving sons were named on her headstone in the Glen Innes cemetery.

I cannot see why the widow of James would need to change her name from Mary
Ellen (nee) HARDY to Edna May (nee) RIXON when Maxwell died in 1983.

There is a memorial plaque at the cemetery for Edna Mary McMAHON , two sons named, with no dates. Edna May might not be buried there.  Where and when did she die.....do you have her death certificate.

I am reading this to mean Maxwell Bryant REYNOLDS, died 1983, is one of seven children, others all still alive..........my question about issue on death certificate.
