There is a death for a Janet(Jane/Jean?) Lindsay(other surname Edwards) , age 65 , 1869 Kirkcaldy Fife , mother's maiden surname Lindsay.(SP)

On the 1851 Census Jean Lindsay's birthplace is given as Glenisla Angus(FreeCEN).

Jean Edward birth 10th Jan. 1804 , baptism 18th Jan. 1804 Glenisla Angus , parents Thomas Edward and Agnes Lindsay(Familysearch).

That’s brilliant.....you’re ahead of me....have been trawling family search for Thomas Lindsay birth in 1803/04 (without much luck yet  ::) ....hadn’t got round to Jean yet so ...yippee  ;D ;D ;D

SP has a death(age 65 , mother's maiden surname Finlay) and a Will(Thomas Lindsay , cartwright and lodging house keeper , Kirkcaldy) both 1869.

 Thanks very much for the pointers and tips...I downloaded the will and it seems Thomas was survived by son Thomas, daughter Ann and David. David is described in the will as “infirm” and the executors are asked to pay over any residue from the estate in a manner most fitting to his(David’s) welfare  :o
The scrap I have is addressed to David E. Lindsay c/o John Beveridge Queen Anne St, Dunfermline, Fife....so he obviously moved....it’s lovely to be able to finally tie him in  ;D

And just FYI...here's the scrap I have...not exactly a full family bible complete with births and deaths going back over centuries ;)....haven't yet been able to decipher the pencil address scribbled in the top left...
