Hi all

I have found a memorial inscription of my ancestor Deborah Sainsbury in Winterslow, Wiltshire - born 1704 died 1754. However, I can’t locate where it is inscribed on. I am assuming it is a headstone and grave as it gives her death date but I can’t find it anywhere. Any ideas?

Many thanks,

Liz

You probably know that Winterslow is near Salisbury.  I suggest you contact Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, they hold burial registers for Winterslow 1598-1960 so should be able to help you.

Hi Liz,

I can confirm there is a burial for "Deborah Sainsbury was buried Jan 25th 1754"
in Winterslow church, Wilts.

This confirms the info Cas has supplied already.

If you have a sub - with Anc..y you will find the original registers are available to view on-line.
