Welcome from me too  :)

Have you looked for Andrew's death cert (if he died in Scotland)? Scottish death certs include parents' names of the deceased. I think Andrew married pre 1855 and the start of official registration in Scotland?

From Ev's info, Andrew and Mary's children look to have been born in the Bothwell area in the main.

There is this possible family entry for Andrew in the 1851 census:

John Wilson 40 coal miner b. Durisdeer Dunfries
Janet Wilson 35 b. Tinwald Dunfries
Thomas Wilson 17 coal miner b. Keir Dunfries
Andrew Wilson 15 coal miner b. Keir Dunfries
James Wilson 14 Coal Miner Evening School b. Muirkirk Ayrshire
John Wilson 11 Coal Miner Evening School b. Carluke Lanarkshire
George Wilson 8 b. Bothwell Lanarkshire
William Wilson 6 b. Bothwell Lanarkshire
Agnes Wilson 4 b. Bothwell Lanarkshire
Robert Wilson 9 Months b. Bothwell Lanarkshire
Agnes Marshall 12 daughter? you need to view original image to double check b. Bothwell Lanarkshire

Address: Mrs Pettiggrew Road, Chapelhall, Bothwell

I think he may have died in England...so likely no Scottish death cert if correct  :-\

From family trees for the family of John Wilson and Janet EDGAR, son Andrew is showing with these possible details in summary:

Andrew Wilson
1835–1910
Birth 25 MAY 1835, Keir, Dumfriesshire
Death 20 FEB 1910, Sunderland, Durham, England

Monica

ADDED: As always with other's family trees, tread with caution and verify yourself the details. I do not think that is the correct death of Andrew in Sunderland.

There is a likely christening showing with that would fit with the above date though. From www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk you have:

Andrew WILSON
JOHN WILSON/JANET EDGAR
19/07/1835
Keir, Dumfriesshire

A couple of other entries show for these parents on SP, fitting two of the names of other children from the 1851 census entry.

John  Wilson, son of Andrew Wilson, was born on 21 August 1855. His birth certificate should therefore contain extra information about his parents. See http://www.scotlandsgenealogy.com/blog/scottish-birth-certificate/

You can view an image of it at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk at modest cost.

The IGI at FamilySearch lists seven children of Andrew Wilson and Mary M(a)cnee
John, born 21 August 1855
Peter McKnee, born 10 January 1858
Catherine McNie, born 12 April 1864, Lesmahagow
Andrew, born 29 June 1866, Stonehouse
Elizabeth McNee, born 12 June 1868
Thomas, born 1 October 1870
Andrew, born 22 January 1873
all born in Bothwell unless otherwise indicated

and

Janet, born 1 February 1860, Sorn, mother's name given as Mary McNaught
George, born 25 April 1862, Bothwell, mother's name given as Mary McNaught

Daniel and Donald are used interchangeably.

The IGI only goes to 1874 so Daniel/Donald and Mary are not listed.

Images of all these birth certificates are available at Scotland's People.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

In all the census records for Mary Mcnee / Wilson  it shows she was born Glasgow

Possible record on the 1851 Census address Drumgelloch New Monkland
Peter Mcnee age 37, b Stirling ... occupation engineer
Esther Mcnee age 37, b Rutherglen
Mary Mcnee age 15 b Glasgow
Catherine McNee age 13 b Glasgow . ..

There is another Mary Mcnee born about 1834 Stornoway parents Peter Janet Mcnee ?
So is this the Mary you are looking for ?

Do you have the death for Andrew Wilson 1904 Airdrie ? .
