So is Antho or however it is spelt a local variation for the name of Anne or do I just give up and write it as seen

I certainly didnít mean that yours was Wexford. I perhaps didnít explain it properly. Apologies.

You would write it as Anto - that is what it says and presumably what it was.
If you search for Catholic records, for example, Anto seems to be predominantly in Tipperary.
