Total novice James Ryan b c1837 living in Stockton On Tees 1871

Hello
Trying to find Irish roots of James Ryan married to Bridget Ryan. James born c1837,Bridget 1845 both living in Stockton-on -tees in 1871 census unfortunately the census just says born Ireland
I have the family once on English census it's the Irish records I'm a novice at any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the help further info to light is James married a Bridget Curry possibly Co Mayo unsure of date.

What do the birth registrations for the children born in England say?

In the 1881 Census, they are in Goole, Yorkshire with several more children.  In the 1891 census, they are in Hook, Yorkshire -- James' birthplace given as Co. Clare while Bridget's says something like Paust Kilpine, Ireland.  Have you looked for a marriage in England for the two?

By the 1901 census, Bridget looks to be deceased as James is noted as the father-in-law in the home of Jane and William Harness.  Again, it indicates that James was born in Co. Clare.  He was still alive in the 1911 census, aged 70, born in Co. Clare -- living with a Harness grandchild.

Daughter Kathleen b.c. 1879, Goole on the 1881, is registered, March q, 1879 as Catherlina and mmn is Currie.
