Help eveline shulman
« on: Monday 02 April 18 11:41 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone.
I'm not sure if this is allowed  on here.  I just need a little bit of help.  As from all my past posts  on the UK  site. / group.  I have been trying to find out about my gran.  I only know what I have been told from my mum. Who as passed away  last year.  All I know now is my gran  passed away in Stirlingshire Scotland. In a hospital  but lived in a home  for  the  elderly.  From what I have been told my gran was adopted.  But I have no idea who her birth parents are  only maybe a member of the family  of who adopted her. And i think possible  she might have had her name changed  to what we know now. I don't know where to start or who to ask about  what happened to my gran after she passed away  or what become of her belongings. But mostly  I want to know  is where can I find out  who is her birth parents .  I can say she was born 1911 from what I have been told.
I'm sorry if I have repeated  this but can anyone help.  Thank you for your help

Dorothy

The respite home where Eveline lived - Wellgreen House in Stirling - was closed in 2014.  Eveline died in 1998 in Stirling Royal Infirmary.

Sorry, Dorothy, but I don't think you will be able to trace what happened to her belongings.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hi Rootschatters.

As per a number of previous threads on Rootschat and elsewhere . . . . .

Over the past 6 montha an enormous amount of work has been put into this search, by a number of people.

Contact with Dorothy's "missing" aunt has been made in the past few days.
We are awaiting information back from said lady.
One of the questions asked was "Care Home Clearout?"
We do not know what information will be in that envelope (yup snail mail)

We have mapped/corrected detail regarding the overall family and that documentation is being tidied up as we speak.

We have researched Dorothy's grand-father and his history,
and helped with other parts of her family.

All parts of Dorothy's initial requests have been expanded
EXCEPT
EVELINE/EVELYN   Unknown/Hill/Schulman/Shulman/Jones/Adams/Owens
Birth estimated at between 1906 and 1911.

Any research generated from Dorothy's latest request will almost definitely replicate research already carried out ( including a few replications here on Rootschat ).

Any specific request(s) about previous findings may be asked of me.

Regards
Ray
