hI j.jen thanks for your reply . iAm sorry my post was so garbled the information i have about my great grandparents and grandmother Ada is somewhat sketchy IAm particularly interested in Joe and lily Baden Shuttleworth. I understand Joe volunteered visiting prisons according to my grandmother he was either an alderman or mayor somewhere in the Bradford area. Thanks again Stoop.

hi j.jen I have just realised there is an error in the 1901 census it should be Nellie not willie, joseph was born later in 1902. Stoop.

So you are looking for Joseph Smith, born 1901 who married Lily B Shuttleworth, born 1900 - 1925 in the Keighley Registration District.

The 1939 Register says that they have two sons, and the family are living in Bradford.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hi Stoop,

Have looked at the image for the 1901 it's definitely Willie and not Nellie. The relation to head of family is son. Quite odd  ???

The 1891 is correct  :)

Arthur Smith   26
Annie Smith   23
Flossy Smith   2
Nelly Smith   1
