Casualty of the Great War,Fitzroy held the rank of Pioneer in the Signal Depot of the Royal Engineers~Service No:23117. He was 24.

Deaths Jun 1916 Ratcliffe Fitzroy 24 Shepton M. 5c 525

He was accepted for commemoration as war dead on 18th September 2014 and his name was immediately added to the United Kingdom Book of Remembrance.

He is commemorated on the churchyard war memorial.

Sadly the person I messaged could not help - the relationship was distant...........very distant.....

Fitzroy Vagg Ratcliffe 1892-1916 is distantly related to my husband as follows - uncle of wife of nephew of husband of 1st cousin 2x removed.
