I'd like to have a 4 page document deciphered from Scots to English, but first I'd like to know if there are other names listed before doing the translation. All I know is Robert Hog had a son Robert Hog and his son' wife was Mary Flackfeild. The date of this marriage was 1663. That's it; can anyone identify any other names to be sure this is my ancestor (I'm pretty sure it is) before translating the document?  Document pages resized to fit here. Thank you.

Hi Ohio,

Please crop your images into smaller sections. You can label them Roberthogpage 1a, Roberthogpage 1b etc

Sarah

It doesn't look like all 4 documents are attached. I've resized them to under 500 kb; can anyone help? Thank you

These people are mentioned in the posted image:

James Hog - laufull brother - executor
Williame Waddestonne - brother In Law - executor
Jonnet Waddestonne - Laufull Spous
James and Aliesone Hog - I believe they are his tuo baernes
George Hoge, Adam Somervell & Symond Waddestonne & his brother In Law - overseers
James Scott - notary public

Some of the names have places associated.  Possibly some names may be identified as Junior.

At this stage I haven't attempted to sort those details out properly.

ADDED:

Regarding the list of overseers, it's possible that Symond Waddestonne is the brother in law mentioned.  That is, it's possible that only three overseers are nominated.

ADDED 2:

Waddestonne can also be interpreted as Waddestoune.

Sarah, Thank you for your help...yes, I used the attach button, but only document 4 attached. The four documents I have are 342 KB, 407 KB, 450 KB and 359 KB; I've resized them to be under the 500 KB size limit, but still no joy. All are converted to JPG format. Thanks again.

horselydown86 - thank you for the work. If I can figure out how to get the other 3 pages loaded, I'd love to know what they say. Stay tuned and thank you again.

OhioHogue,

I'm not an expert by any means, so this would be too difficult a task for me, but I can get you started on the rest and hopefully others might be able to continue.

I think page 4 starts out with:

committs his soule to god almightie and his corpse to be
? amongest the? rest of good people he nominates
appynts constitutes and leaves? James Hog in?/Jr? ?
? his lawfull brother...

There are tips and tutorials online, in case you want to give it a try yourself:

It looks as if you have managed to resize them to an individual acceptable size ok.
Any one post will only accept a maximum of 900MB.
I'd suggest you just do one per post.
And make sure they all have different titles - even if it's only A, B, C etc.

As to the image you have posted, HD has given you all the pertinent facts, but it starts
committs his soule to god almightie and his corpes to be
Buried amongest the rest of gods people He nominates
appoynts constitutes and leaves James Hog In meibles(?)
catptir(?) his Lawfull brother and Williame Waddestonne
In howdonne (?) his brother In law......
