in 1906 registration there is one Norah, and one Nellie Elizabeth.

So when/ where is "yours" registered?

Hi Carole.  Thanks for the prompt reply.  Nellie /Nora had a 2nd name May The Jones in question had the names Arthur  Hennry C ? Johns and the other was John Perry . Nellie/Nora would have been 5 yrs old. Hope this is of help.  Regards Eirwen

so what's this about if you say the 5-y-old was too young to be wed in 1911, yet are suggesting these as spouses for her in 1910?

In various. Entries she is down as Nellie or Nora. What I wish in the end result is who was the mother of Nellie/ Nora Hooper, trying to establish this before applying for a certificate. What I do know is that a Nellie Hooper married in various years between 1911-1931. Think but cannot be sure that the one which might be mine is the marriage in 1930 between Hersey and Hooper..Again thanks for all replies. Eirwen.

so a 1930 marriage in FARNHAM?

Marriages Dec 1930   (>99%)
Drury    Frank B    Phillips    Farnham    2a   398
Hersey    Ernest G    Hooper    Farnham    2a   398
Hooper    Nellie D    Hersey    Farnham    2a   398
Phillips    Gertrude    Drury    Farnham    2a   398

That has a second initial of "D"

Sorry to say but your information is still most confusing but are you saying that you think that this marriage is likely to be your Nellie.

Farnham, Surrey December quarter 1930 vol 2a pg 398
Nellie D Hooper and Ernest G Hersey

As you can see a different middle initial and a different county.

The 1939 register has Ernest G HERSEY and Nellie M (born 1905). She seems to die as Nellie May HERSEY /28 May 1959 in Ash.

Possible HERSEY/HOOPER children in right area so it seems to have been her maiden name.

(no idea if I'm on the right track.....)

As we are all having problems interpreting your request it may be a good idea to include how Nellie/Nora fits into your FH

Where does Perry/Jones/Hooper come from

Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

I must apologise about the way I have requested information. But have taken on board all that has been given. Have now been informed that the marriage in Farnham district is indeed the one I was looking for. Just one further request ( I hope) MaureenNY has Given me information from the 1939. Record . Where were Earnest and Nellie living and was their any other family in the same address. Again Thankyou for all your assistance. Regards Eirwen.
