I have had a good look through my forces reference books and a quick look on the internet, I can't find a reference to what 'PSH' would stand for?

Newspaper reports say he died in Bristol Royal Infirmary - He had apparently been there approx 2 weeks and had an operation which appeared to have been successful - he suddenly collapsed. Funeral was at Wells Cemetery

My Grandparents and their parents are buried in Wells Cemetery, we will look around next time we are in there.

You sent me a pm on the other forum.

One of the sites I mentioned shows a 1st quarter of 1949 marriage between Kenneth R and an Elizabeth D Salmon at Wells.
So sad that they had so little time together.
I checked the 1939 register as well and couldn't find him so it looks as if he had already joined up before civil registration took place.
What were his parents names, that might let me find their home in '39 just to confirm whether he was there or not.  There are 287 entries under Hann in Somerset as a whole in 39 and it doesn't sort the boroughs for you.

My father was in the RAF from 39 to 45 and I've thought about applying for his records,when I filled the like tonthe government site it says to include name ,date of birth and service number,as I haven't got his service number can I still apply?

The form asks for date of birth OR service number
Preferably both, but I have applied before without a service number.

His wedding was in the Wells Journal on 1 April. St Matthew's Church, Wookey, to Elizabeth Derenda Salmon.  Full details of her parents/address are in that.

The funeral and a full list of mourners were in the Wells Journal on 9 September.  His widow didn't attend, she was described as "indisposed and unable to attend". The widow's mother and brother attended the funeral.
