CWGC Appeal for relatives of Lance Corporal Edward Killen..............
« on: Wednesday 04 April 18 15:51 BST (UK) »
CWGC appeal for relatives  to locate the next of kin for soldiers who fell as a result of WW1

https://www.cwgc.org/

Edward Killen born about 1871 - death registered Q3 - Belfast - volume 1 page 219 -  (2 July 1917)

Royal Irish Rifles - Regt C/357 -  Belfast (Milltown) Roman Catholic Cemetery. B. SD. 41

Looking at UK, Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects, 1901-1929 for Edward Killen - it seems he may have a widow Annie.

Possibility - British Army WWI Pension Records 1914-1920 show a marriage of an Edward Killen (born 1873 - Liverpool) to Annie Lillis - 19 May 1891 Belfast - Garrn Battalion R Irish Rifles 3 - R Irish Fusiliers - Regimental Number:   10920
Mention of 2 children Sarah Jane Killen (3/7/1903)  and Rachel Killen (13/2/1906) both Belfast - Edward's occupation was French polisher.

If this is the correct Edward Killen's marriage then his father Edward was a French polisher-

A brother P. Killen registered his death in 1917-

Looks like this Peter Killen could be the brother- in which case lots of relatives-

and

Great - hopefully a reasonable chance some can be found.  ;)

Thank You
