Canada Voters List 1974 - had Walter Homer (formulator) Shirley Homer (housewife) and a "R"
2575 Danforth Avenue Greenwood

That sounds good... I am sure I saw one of the directories say he was a formulator for Canada Packers.   :)

Both 1965 and 1974 voters lists has Walter as a formulator.  There is another 'Walter Homer' who is a 'Gentleman' ?!?!

The 1968 entry in Broadview has Robert Homer a machine operator.  Likely their son?

Just looked back in the 1958 directory... Where Walter T Homer and Charles Semple are listed at the same address.  Walter T Homer is a formulator for Canada Packers -- the meat packing plant.   All of the voters lists showing Walter Homer as a formulator or butcher must be your Walter Homer.

Sometimes people list themselves as a "Gentleman" if they are retired and living on their own means.

Can't help with a find but would like to suggest...

You might check if your local public library subscribes to Ancestry Library Edition. This would give you access to Canadian records.

I believe I have a family member who may be related to Norman Semple.

A Norman Semple whose family was from N. Ireland then settled by Toronto briefly m a Conroy & had a child in 1955. This Norman was in the military & he & child had no contact after the divorce & the mother eventually moved to California.

Would like.to discuss more. Also one of her children did a DNA test at 23 & me.
