Florence Joan Brown born 15 Jun 1892 (acc to 1939).
She says her father is Frederick Brown - a pianist/musician who dies before 1919.
She marries a Jack Stanton around 1916
She has a son called Jack Stanton on 1 May 1917
Jack Stanton (husband) dues before Feb 1919.  He was an electrician.
She has a son Gordon Stanton born 3 Feb 1919 in Dover
She marries Henry Richard Knapp on 29 Nov 1919  in Dover
She has a son Ronald Knapp in 1920 in Dover
She has a daughter Violet Joan Knapp in 1924 in Dover
In 1939 she is living in Cuckfield, Sussex
In 1953 she dies.

I can find no census with her and father Frederick.
I can find no marriage to Mr Stanton,
I can find no death record for Mr Stanton,
and I can find no birth record for Jack Stanton jr.!   

There is a Frederick Brown who is a musician living with his brother Herbert Brown in 1911 in London, but he says he is single.

Pulling hair out.  Can anyone help please!!

And baptised on 15 June 1892   Birthdate not stated.

Parents were Samuel (manufacturer) and Florence, of Fairfield Rd Croydon.

Florence Joan Brindley (22 of Addiscombe) married James Hogson Lloyd (29 of Shirley, warehouseman) at Shirley parish church on 11 June 1914.

Her father: Samuel Brindley, boxmaker.
His father: John Edward Lloyd, warehouseman.

The witnesses' names match the fathers' names.

James Hogson Lloyd died in Croydon in 1962, aged 78, leaving an estate of some £37,000.

Executors were Denis James Lloyd and Walter John Lloyd, warehousemen.

Unfortunately I think James Hogson Lloyd and Florence Joan Brindley are a red herring, as they are still together in 1939.

Possible death for her: Florence J Lloyd aged 58, Jun qtr 1950 Croydon.

Jack Stanton b 1917 Marylebone may yet be relevant though.

Also a death for John Stanton aged 27 in Hampstead, Dec qtr 1918 - right sort of age and would have been alive at the time Gordon was conceived.

The birth records for Gordon, Ronald and Violet Joan all have mother maiden name as Brown.

Florence Joan Knapp is alive and well and with her husband at her son Jack's wedding in 1946 in Newbury
