Henry Irwin, Ballyness, Dungiven
« on: Friday 06 April 18 18:46 BST (UK) »
Henry Irwin 1793-1878 had farm Ballyness Map Ref. 6&7 Griffiths Valuation. In his will he stated that farm to be sold and proceeds to go to the children of his deceased son David and also to his daughter Mary married to Robert McLenaghan of Ballyquin , all living in America. ( Robert was brother of my GGGrandmother Elizabeth Deane, Dungiven )
In about 1880 the farm was then occupied by another Henry Irwin and his wife Annabella Witherow
( Gelvin Post Office )
My question does anyone know of a relationship between these two Irwin families.   Thank You.

Thanks Cwellan for your help. Mostly got it sorted. I found the father of the second Henry in the 1901 census also called Henry aged 86 and living with his son Joseph  in Ballyness.
A will for Mary Jane Irwin who lived in the adjoining townland of Ballymacallion died 1878 ( proni  will image on line ) gives enough information to show that the two  Henry Irwin  families are related.
