« on: Saturday 07 April 18 12:56 BST (UK) »
Can anyone decipher the middle name of the brides father on this wedding record please?
Bridegroom is Thomas Chambers, bachelor, and labourer. The bride is Mary Walley, spinster. Both are residing in Highland Street. Bridegroom's father is also Thomas Chambers, labourer and bride's father is Thomas ???? Walley, mariner. I have no idea!!!

Many thanks.

Welcome to Rootschat Gixergirl,

May I ask where Mary Chambers says she is born on 1871 Census?
I am having trouble tracking them on Census after Marriage and also before they married.

Thomas Trafalgar Walley may have died.

Death Reg;
WALLEY, THOMAS, age 44***

JJ Thank you so much!!!, yes that has to be her as she gives Gloucester as birth place on Censuses. Where did you find this? I have been using Find My Past but have failed to find this on there.

Trish - she always gives Gloucester as place of birth on Censuses - as JJ has found her. In 1871 they are in Kingston, Surrey. Randomly in 1881 she calls herself Eliza! Took me ages to find her. Not sure about Thomas' death ... need to see what I can find now I have this new information.

Thanks again for the help
