Walton

Could anyone help me find who the parents were for Ann Walton? Ann was born 1796 in County Durham and died 3 March 1843 in Witton Gilbert. She married twice, first to William Featherstonhaugh and second to John Clark.
Thank you, Alison

Ann married William Featherstonhaugh, 15 Feb 1812 at Walton on the Hill, Lancashire and then she married John Clark, 27 Nov 1834, Bishop Wearmouth.

There would appear to be a number of possible baptisms for an Ann Walton in co Durham in the late 1700's. I note the following:

1). On her first marriage it states she was of Chester le Street Parish, although it does not automatically follow she was born there.

2).On her second marriage one witness was called Thomas Walton.

3) Although the 1841 census suggests  born c1796 remember ages were rounded down. The groindex suggests she was 52 years old when she died in 1843.

Just to add,in case you had not seen these, the North East Inheritance Database shows that William Featherstonhaugh left a will while there is an administration doc.for Ann Clark's estate.

A possible burial was suggested on this thread
