To avoid duplication of effort, and the complications of language, I have agreed with the lady to apply for a birth cert on her behalf citing 1845 without any index number and naming the parents John and Mary M Johnson (accords with the whip maker in 1861).  Thus the kind folks at the GRO will search Lambeth for that year and one each side which will cover the 1845 and the 1846 births that have been suggested (and 1844 but that did not come into consideration).

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

Attention mes braves!  La belle Ellen est née le 12 Juin 1845.

Maiden Stone douze points
MaxD nul points

L'acte de naissance est en route à La France.

Mother's maiden name was Mary - wait for it.......Johnson!!  (Accords with the Ann Henrietta birth)Residence 35 William Street Lambeth.  Perhaps the question now is to find the Johnson/Johnson marriage.  I was tempted by the August 1826 Holborn marriage of Mary Martha but she has signed her name to the banns whereas the later birth cert has the mother's mark only and anyway it is the wrong part of town.
