Oh wow heywood, what fantastic information you have found!  This is amazing!  I'll start going through your messages one at a time and try to piece it altogether.

I have Thomas and Kate in the 1911 Ireland census - they were in Antrim.

I knew the spelling would play a part in all of this!  I guess back in those days it was definitely all about how the name sounded!

Can't thank you enough for what you have been able to discover, this is certainly opening up avenues for further discovery.  Sincerely appreciate the time you are putting into this.

I think this is them in 1871 630/191/26

Patrick and Mary Garron
Thomas b 1859 but not in 1861 census

Very difficult to match any births

Just in case you can’t find them. I gave the wrong reference above  ::)
1871 630/101/26 - Patric Garron

I just can’t find other births apart from the ones I have mentioned so am not confident with the censuses.
I would advise caution.no signs at all in 1881  :-\

Here is another suggestion  :-\ if that is the right family even though we can’t find births etc, there is this family in 1851 1560/398/41
6 Glovers Place

John Quinlan 37 yrs
Jane Quinlan 38 yrs
Catharine Quinlan 15 yrs
Mary Geary daughter married 21 yrs
Michael Quinlan   12 yrs
John Quinlan   8 yrs
Patrick Quinlan   5byrs
John Geary grandson 6 months
Patrick Geary son in law 30 yrs
David Connors brother in law 30 yrs
Mary Murphy visitor 55 yrs

Mentioned before John Geran birth 1850 mmn Quindan

This would imply that there should be a marriage for Patrick and Mary in England

Also birth Patrick Quinland 1846 Mmn Connor

That’s a great find, thanks, Jon.
I think I have seen some possibilities for those boys in the army - will have another look. It is the spellings that prove difficult  :)
