Author Topic: Can anybody identify a date for the photo below? A USA Studio Portrait  (Read 915 times)

This photo was found in an old trunk of my Grandfathers.  There are no dates or detail at all save the printing studio.  If this is my grandfather it would date the picture to around 1929/20 but whether that studio was operating then, I couldn't say.  The text is very faint but looks to be UST studios, London?

Any help is appreciated in pinning down a date.

Got a similar photo dated circa 1914 which fits Andy's WW1 date

Agree with the others but I wouldn't put it later than WW1. The mount is very much pre-war as is the lad's dress style.
I notice from the info. HP put up that they were operating in B'ham by 1914 & that doesn't appear on the back of the card.

Thanks for your help guys, appreciated.  I can live with 1914-15 based on the operating studios at palace studios.  That would make my grandfather 7 in that photo which could work.  Once again many thanks.
