Accompanying wives and children pre-WW1
« on: Monday 09 April 18 10:04 BST (UK) »
Morning peeps

Can some kind soul point me in the direction of some online/reading material about which wives were "allowed" to go with/after their husbands, who arranged it/paid for the transport, where did they live (barracks or outside) etc?

Many Thanks

If you're talking overseas postings they were drawn by lot. Those that "won" were considered on the strength as were any children.
