May I please request an 1862 Archives look up?

As I have not previously come across such a notice, I hope there is not too much effort involved on the part of the 'looker upperer'. If there is likely to be, do please abandon this request.

Hi Minniehaha,

No, having done this type of file before, the issue is not ordering it but working out which document within is the one the 'looker-upper-orderer' (er...?) wants. These files can be pretty thick.

But in this case you just want the Pilots Licence for John GALBRAITH with accompanying letter.

To confirm, yes just the Pilot's Licence with the accompanying letter is what I would like to obtain.

No, it was easy to order once the Archivist explained it to me. I'm pleased you like the quality of the images.

So, for future reference:

Below the RECORD INFORMATION Title is another field named [Additional Archives Description]. This provides two numbers separated by a forward slash. This refers to the specific item.

Next, go to Archway ADVANCED SEARCH.

Click on the RECORDS button.

From the RECORD INFORMATION page enter the series number (i.e. ‘8333’) into the [Series] field.

Enter the information contained in the Additional Archives Description box (i.e. ‘1862/2757’) into the [Record #] field, then hit SEARCH.

The page for this specific record then opens and, unlike the original record linked to above, is not Restricted and can be ordered.
