Is anyone else researching Thomas Burke, son of john and Mary Burke of Glasgow?
Particularly interested in Thomas birth date, when John and Mary married, her maiden name and where they lived in Glasgow.

Only information I have so far is Thomas Burke  (Pte 3328749) 2nd Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and was killed at Singapore 13/1/1942, according to CWGC
or
Thomas Burke (Pte 3328749) aged 29 from Scotland on or about 13/2/1942 Presumed killed Category C Malaya conflict.

Hi have you tried Scotland's People for his birth there were 6 Thomas Burke's born in Glasgow 1912/13 you will get his mothers maiden name from that with that their marriage

Thomas Burke's service number was actually 3324879 according CWGC.

A Thomas Burke was born 1/8/1912 266 Baltic Street, Glasgow, son of John Burke, a carter, and Mary nee McHugh married 7/6/1907 Partick.

Where exactly they were living in 1942 have no idea.
