I have had both my parents DNA tested and my Paternal Grandmothers. Comparing them all it is rather interesting the things that I have/have not inherited from them.

Both my parents and my Grandmother have Scandinavia particularly my Grandmother who had more than 30% but I didn't seem to inherit any Scandinavian. They all had Ireland/Scotland/Wales, my Father's side had a high percentage of this and my Mother had 5% but I seemed to only inherit less than 1%.

I think maybe I should look at the ethnicity part as more of a bit of fun?

Although I have found the DNA match part to be very useful!

You need someone else on your maternAl   side


Grandmother. aunt great aunt uncle to see if they too have high western Europe levels
