I am doing research into the Nevill family, emigrated to New Zealand on the Wairoa in 1883. I am a great great granddaughter descended from their daughter Melicent (Millie Webb). I am trying to write a booklet about the family, as I have a memoir written by Christiana, and would like to flesh out the story.

Born: 22 Mar 1841. baptised 25 Jun 1841, St Mathew Friday Street,London.  dau of Thomas and Matilda Catharine Flight.

I am really just trying to make contact with other descendants. Have yet to trace their daughter Bessie (Elizabeth) who went to Australia and married a Mr Edwards, and had a daughter. This daughter married an American and Bessie went also to USA. And any descendants of Mary, married Joseph de Courcy Laffan, had a son Walter b 1894 (who married Irene Consee and lived at Peaslake, Surrey)

I am a great grand daughter of a brother of William James Nevill.  I would be very interested to read your memoir when completed.   A number of members of the Nevill family emigrated to NZ including my great grandmother Emilie Louise Nevill and three of her children Jphn Benjamin, Humphrey and Joan in circa 1925, my auntie Barbara and her three children in the 1950s and cousins of William James namely Bishop Tarratt Nevill of Dunedin and his nephew Edmund Berrey Nevill.
