I am interested in connecting with anyone researching the following vague information:
John Kersell and wife Agnes or Nancy Henderson,had a son Robert Kersell born c 1849 in Scot.(died Jun 1897 Australia.) & daug. Margaret born in Scot.c 1851(died Sep 1935 Australia)
   This family of 4 apparently arrived in Australia  Oct 1852.
There appear to be 3 more children born in Victoria,Australia...John c 1854-Mar 1939, Annie c 1856-Dec 1893 and James born c 1867 (?)

I believe this to be an obit for his wife, but I can’t find her on VICBDM, or at Bendigo Cemetery, 3rd column:

An interesting insight into what life was like in Moorambel in 1885. 

R. KERSEL was part of the welcoming party from Moorambel Cricket Club when the North Fitzroy club toured the district.   There were dinners, concerts and dancing into the early hours.

I wish to thank Wivenhoe,Jamjar and Rosball for all their research they have done for me on this Kersel family. Well Done !!
  I am attempting to follow the Kersell family from Roxburghshire, Scotland the the various parts of the world. I have done Scotland,New Zealand,Canada ,USA and now Australia,(which I am working on.)
  I am wondering about one thing, in 1906 it says that Ann Kersel had 3 daugh. & 3 sons,(I only have 2 daughters,Margaret born c 1851 Scot. & Annie born 1857 in Australia...so now to look for 3 daugh.
  Could John Kersell born in Scotland have had a 2nd wife,reason for my question is...death of Ann Kersell in 1906 states she came from London, England and came to Australia in 1861..yet I have Margaret, born 1851 Scot,John born 1855 in Australia.,Annie born 1857 in Australia......then James born 1867 Australia.....Hmmmmm
 I also have on the 1851 census of Rox.Scot  John Kersell,his wife Agnes ,son Robert.
 Also have a notation of this family of 4 arriving in Australia in 1852

Given the overlapping births and other discrepancies I think you can safely ignore the 1906 obit.
