Filing system has let me down re my Argyles
« on: Sunday 15 April 18 15:53 BST (UK) »
I need help :(  maybe a refurbished brain cell or two.

NOW  I have been searching and searching for a document regarding Robert ARGYLE born 1849 in Hinckley and died 1859 age 10.

I KNOW I have a newspaper clipping AND so then I wrote a story regarding his death.

He and his siblings had been sent to play across at the park in the hands of his eldest sister.
The park was across the road from where they lived.

And there were HORSES kept on the park.  this particular day one of the horses Kicked Robert in the head and killed him.

NOW  the Story of what happened is Correct.. but am I mixing the 'family - and or child'  I have searched the newspaper archives again and again.......

Whilst writing this I just thought that the address of the house would be on the census.. so will check that to see if it is near a park.

I have in the past written on here regarding this family as they lost a lot of children at a young age.
The parents are James Argyle and Mary Ann Read -  married in 1846  had 8 children and maybe 4 made it to adulthood.

tia  if anyone remembers anything..

The Borough Hinckley is as centre as it gets in Hinckley (my Natwest address) I also remember seeing the plaque on The Borough about the Hansom cab invention which was built in Hinckley.
Most of Hinckley is built up now and I would assume the area where the Brittiania centre is now used to be open land.
