Lookup Brook in Kent
« on: Sunday 15 April 18 16:55 BST (UK) »
I see that Find my Past church register transcript for Brook in Kent doesn't start until 1695 (covers 1695-1812) does anyone have a transcript or access to the Brook Archdeacon's transcripts for the earlier 1538-1695 period? I am looking for Boulding/Boulden (without a "U" sometimes and sometimes with a "W") and also even without the "D" (ie Bolling/Bollyng/Belling).
Boulding Boulden Bollyng (all - mostly Kent)
Finch (Kent - Henry & Elizabeth (Fossett)  Finch m1687  London)
Foord (Kent - Aldington, Stanford area)
Philpot (Kent - Alexander Philpot died 1601 Ashford)
Waggon/Waghorn (Kent pre 1715)
Rose (Kent)

Having looked at a Transcription (Brook) covering the dates you mention I have found only three probable entries and one possible as follows:-

Marriages
1670/71 24-Mar John BOLDEN Dorothy LANGRAM
1676/77 30-Jan William GOLDSMITH Mary BOULDING Wye

Burial
1676 May 7 Richard BOULDING

The possible a marriage,
1671 26-Dec L Zacharie BOULTON Mary BINGE W

For completeness there were no records for the Commonwealth Period in Brook.

Hope this may be of some small help,
Tony

That really is wonderful... Thank you ever so much. I'm just not able to get to the archives these days what with work and being a full time carer.
