Reinkowsky ancestry troubles?
« on: Sunday 15 April 18 18:51 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find any information and records regarding my ancestor John Paul Martin Reinkowsky. The information that I have says he was born in Danzig, Prussia around 1848/1850 and came to Australia around 1871. He married Sarah Ann Crack around 1875 in Australia.
His marriage certificate states his parents as Carl August Reinkowsky and Louise Borska (death certificate has her as Wilhelmine).
I have been unable to find anymore info besides a marriage certificate between a Carl August Runkowski and Wilhelmine Borski on genealodzy that may or may not be related and that I cannot access.

Any help would be heartily appreciated.

Do you have an Ancestry subscription?

There you can find:
1. a birth record for Johann Paul Martin Reinkowski (10 Jan 1849 in Danzig Neufahrwasser),
father Karl August Reinkowski, mother Wilhelmine nee Borschki.
2. certificate of naturalization for Carl August Reinkowski

any probably much more
 :)

I do indeed and that’s where I’ve found most of the information I have, including John Paul Martins naturalisation certificate, it’s getting more information on his life in Prussia and his parents that I’m really struggling with.

What documents do you have?
I have several hits in Ancestry and don´t really know if you already have the info.

It will save doing things twice.

So that means you haven´t got an Ancestry International subscription, right?

Your local library might have an Ancestry subscription which would allow you to find more information. Most libraries have a webpage so you can check what they have from home  :)
