you found Emily Sophie Young already as another child of William + Ann YOUNG b1856

which fits with her  on a boat age 43 IN 1897    the description 'wife' doesnt fit unless she married a YOUNG

I disagree with Kot about mothers maiden names not being useful ...it helps identify if you.ve got the correct sisters and brothers especially if a child is living with aunts uncles and grandparents .
Do canadian marriage certs  always give mothers maiden names ?

Frederick Albert Young's parentage is a real mystery Im going to renew ancestry tomorrow maybe take a look at baptisms and schools.. and full censuses ..i like to see who else was in household and who the neighbours were ,!

do you know what religion this family was ?

..could Emily Sophie Young have had a baby with her cousin Frederic Albert Young the man who drowned ?

:) So will I, it is the death in 1896 Yorkshire that puzzles me, and who was the Ann baptised the same day as Emily Sophia who does not appear on the 1861?

Emily was b. 1853 in Hartley Wiltshire, in 1881 she was  28 yrs. occ. domestic servant (Hastings St. Leonard On The Sea Susses). In 1891 at 38 yrs. she was in Yorkshire, where she died in 1896.

I have info that I feel William's wife Ann maiden name was Osborn.

OK still attempting to sort out this family, I can see Emily S Young aged 28 b Hartley, Wiltshire in 1881 census Sussex, I can see an Emily with Ann/Frederick on voyage to Canada in 1896 aged 43, but I cannot locate an Emily Young aged 38 b Wiltshire in 1891 Yorkshire who apparently died the same year of the voyage 1896 Yorkshire?
1861 for Emily aged 8 in Bradford on Avon RG09/1799/57/19

Emily died BEFORE the ship sailed. That is why I told you her name was not on the passenger list when they set sail.

OK so will accept that, so can you supply the 1891 census in Yorkshire, and the death registration on Freebmd 1896 Yorkshire?

It is from your posts that we are attempting to work out just who is the father/mother of Frederick, I accepted your word that Emily was not on the voyage, just enquiring if you had the 1891 available and the district of her death in 1896?
