Arson news article
« on: Monday 16 April 18 22:28 BST (UK) »
Good evening
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where I will find a news article about a relative of mine (now deceased) ? My father told me years ago that his brother didn't attend my parents wedding as he was in prison for setting a wood yard on fire deliberately. I would have thought that seeing as he went to prison it would have been reported on by the hull daily mail at the time. My parents married in 1971 but I don't know how long my uncle would have been in prison by then. I have googled his name etc but cannot come up with anything. I only had my father's word to go on that this was true, I'm not in a position to contact family about this.

I would be very grateful for any help

Thanks

Have you tried British Newspapers Online? Not sure where you are, but you may have access via your local library or online through a library (in Australia we can access online through our National Library). If you don't have access I'm happy to look up for you - send me a pm if you don't want to put his name on here.  :)
