William Reed baptismal information

I am trying to find any baptism information for

William Reed
Born circa 1816 Woodhorn, Northumberland

On his 1846 marriage record to Eleanor Brewes, his father is named as William Reed, Husbandman (witnessed were Eleanor Brewes relatives)

There is a baptism of William REED 24 Mar 1816 at St Mary the Virgin, Horton with father William (husbandman) and mother Margaret, residing at Stickley (on FreeReg)

Whilst there are some records on Freereg for Woodhorn there are no Reed baptisms there 1800 – 1850. However I did come across a couple of possibilities elsewhere.

Thank you, this is very useful and the 24 Mar 1816 Horton William Reed looks promising. Was Horton part of Woodhorn parish at the time?, he consistently is stated as being born in Woodhorn. We are trying to find a positive connection to William Reed and his wife Margaret Trobe (my direct ancestors) as myself and another person descended from them have DNA matches with a descendant of the Woodhorn born 1816 William Reed.

The fact that the mother on this baptism is listed as Margaret adds evidence to this.

I have located Stickley Farm in Horton.

Potential parents William Reed, husbandman, and wife Margaret Trobe, were married on 7 Feb 1813 in Warkworth, where Margaret was from. They were living at the time in Ponteland, where William was from.

The next location I have on them is 21 Jun 1818 when they were living at Lane House, Meldon when their daughter Elizabeth was born, and they were still here in 1821.

I am not what else I can do to confirm the link between the William Reed and the likely patents. Any suggestions?

This is indeed William Reed and Margaret Trobes 1841 census. I don’t have William Reed born 1816 census from 1841 yet. In 1851 he is an Engine Driver living in Bermondsey, Surrey.
