Two other children show for this couple on FS:

William b. 23 September 1857 in Edinburgh
Annabella b.  14 October 1862 in Lasswade

The 1862 birth should include a marriage date. If pre 1856 adn the death of Sarah Burns, then cannot be connected to Sarah's husband.

Just found the marriage on SP index:

Robert MACKENZIE and Mary PETRIE
1856 ref 685/3 221
Castle and Portsburgh

Still can't see this on FS which is a pity as it would give you the date in 1856 to check against Sarah's death.

Not sure if the Petri/Mackenzie marriage is the same as the 1861 couple as the age, etc, is different but he is a strong possible:

Aged 45!, living Romly Place.

Mary, 36,  living Semple Street

1861
Rosemount Buildings, St Cuthbert's, St George, MIdL

Robert McKenzie, 51, coachman (gentleman), b. Dull, Perthshire
Mary, 40, b. Aberdeenshire
William, 3, b. St George
Mary Jane, 2, b. St George
Agnes Sheriffs, visitor, unm, 26, housemaid, b. Aberdeen

I assume Robert is a gentleman's coachman rather than a 'Gentleman'
