Uniform

I have a photo taken in Aberdeenshire, maybe Peterhead of a chap with a khaki uniform, ie jacket, and skirt, not a kilt with a khaki pouch or sporran on the front of the skirt.  Does anyone know what regiment he would have been in.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You would really need to post the photo for identification.
The "skirt" is most likely a khaki cover worn to protect the kilt.

Thank you for that.  How can |I post the photo which will probably come through in black and white, although it is sepia.

Hi,
If you choose "Attachments and other option" from your post reply page, there is an option to "choose a file".
This should give you a selection of locations where your photo now sits. Go there and select the photo. Hopefully it should appear in your reply.

Good morning,

If you click on the photographic board, at the top are six posts highlighted in a brownish beige colour. Read the last two which will explain all you need to know about scanning photos, rules on posting pictures and resizing them if too large. Plus much more helpful info.

Can't give you a link to them as i'm on my tablet.

A good chance it will be the 5th Gordon Highlanders as many of them came from that area.
