Hi

Mary Ann married a Ridley (John William), but I don't think that they were related (could be wrong), its the Cheesborough that puzzles me!

Ref for Mary Ann Cheesborah 1871 born Northumberland
RG10/5009  23/39
With Robert Walker aged 44 and Elizabeth Walker aged46 born Yorkshire
Did wonder if Mary Anns age was mistranscribed and she was actually 17 but it does look like a 1.

Just found something else too.

John William Ridley and Mary Ann's first child, Joseph Iveson Ridley, born in 1875 was with Robert and Elizabeth Walker in 1881, listed as a 'nephew.'

Hmmmm....

That's great - a positive link between "your" Ridleys and this Walker family.  So Mary Ann who was with them in 1871 is the right person.

Aaah... I wonder if Mary was Elizabeth's daughter? She may have fabricated her father's name on her marriage certificate.
