There are a few small articles regarding a Dennis Rabbit in the White Plains NY Eastern State Journal -  being one of the overseers of the poor in White Plains Westchester - 1886 - 1889.

Also articles for Dennis Rabbit receiving payment for work on the roads in White Plains Westchester - 1886 - 1889

White Plains NY Eastern State Journal 1883-1886 -

"At an early hour Thursday morning burglars attempted to break into Lafayette
Hall, where the Catholic fair is now to progress, but were unsuccessful, being
frightened away by nightwatchman Dennis Rabbit"

The age of this Margaret Keefe 1847 does not tally with the birth date in the 1860 census but it helps to discount the marriage above to Christopher Keefe -

FIND A GRAVE

Margaret Rabbitt Keefe - 1847 County Meath, Ireland passed away 15 Sep 1902 (aged 54–55)
New York.

Various records have a Dennis Rabbit/t dying Manhattan, NY on 20th April 1893, aged 65.
Cert No 15027

Also, the censuses in White Plains suggest this approx age. The 1860 has him sd 35, his wife as Nancy, 45, with daughters Margaret, 6, and Bridget, 14. By 1870, he is 45,and wife is Bridget,42.

Did Nancy die and he then married Bridget or were name/ages confused?

Is there anything further about the Bridet aged 14 on the 1860?
