McPherson/Mcculloch Scotland
« on: Sunday 22 April 18 06:40 BST (UK) »
Hi there, I’m trying to locate a connection between a McPherson and a McCulloch which I suspect is by marriage (the wife being the McCulloch) in Scotland in the 1700’s. The name McCulloch is frequently a middle name through the female line in this family and this usually indicates that it was a maiden name of a direct ancestor. However, I can’t find anything beyond Katherine McPherson and Daniel McPherson who married in Dunbartonshire in 1792 and named their daughter Agnes McCulloch McPherson born 1806 in Glasgow which is where I think the tradition started and then continued on.  I can’t confirm anything prior to this marriage for sure. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

McCulloch might have also been a minister, a doctor or a good friend of the family!

Skoosh.

Yes. That’s definitely a possibility. Thank you.
