John Robinson and Catherine Simpson
« on: Sunday 22 April 18 08:12 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I’m here again asking for more help with Irish ancestors.

I’m in Scotland, so we have Alan Robinson born 1896 in cambusnethan, Lanarkshire although the family lived in Harthill.

His parents John Robinson and Catherine Simpson were married on the 8th if January 1891 in Dungarven, Ireland.

I’ve tried looking but can’t find their marriage record.  Also, their oldest son William Simpson Robinson wasn’t born in Scotland.  They also have lost a child but I can’t see any record.

Johns death certificate only has a mother recorded, Martha Robinson.
Is anyone able to help with this family, I’m very interested to learn more about them .

Thanks
Caroline

1901 shows William S born in Cambusthenan so one would assume that the child who dies was also born there.

Sorry dathai I just added it as you posted.

Also, just realised this thread is in Waterford forum as Caroline has Dungarven (Dungarvan, Waterford) when I think it should be Dungiven.
