Polaris office

I have a version of Polaris preinstalled  on my Android tab, I`m thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" Tablet  but it doesn`t seem to have anything similar installed.

I`ve read reports that downloading Polaris also leads to a lot of ads. I really only want to be able to open PDF files and Microsoft Word docs that I have on memory sticks.
This is to be able to take my research with me anywhere and use without  connecting to internet.

Can anyone advise  me please.
