well they re classed as kent parish records on ancestry, i ve got over 1,000 downloads not named so here is an example, i must say that its only kent records that look like this, records for lancashire, cheshire and ireland you can see the originals ??

So, you are right cathiee, these are not original Parish registers you are looking at, but an index drawn up at a later date.
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London

hi, so is that why there can be loads of different copies of the same people, and some taken from different churches but written out by surname, and are they always reliable ??, why cant you see the real record are they not on line, thanks :)

Kent is not one of the best counties for online images of parish registers.  City Ark is good but does not cover the whole of Kent.  I would never rely on indexes/transcriptions it is always best to see the original register copy

I used my local 'Latter day saints' family history centre (which has now closed down)  for my Kent research.  https://www.familysearch.org/locations/
